In other words, it is our responsibility to ensure that our customers receive inflight service that is consistently world-class.

There are many aspects to this task. The IFS-SD department incorporates Cabin Crew Management, Crew Briefing Centre, Cabin Crew Service Centre Catering Management, Cabin Crew Training, Business Planning & Development, Product Development and Duty Free Services.

All of these units join forces to create an environment that encourages, motivates, supports and drives our multinational crew to provide and maintain a the best possible service to our customers. Location & Facilities

Service Delivery is based in the new Emirates Group Headquarters. Training takes place in the Emirates Aviation College – Crew Training Facility.

This seven-storey purpose-built state-of-the-art centre is dedicated to a single idea – producing the finest cabin crew in the air.

Training covers evacuation and safety, emergency procedures, inflight service, the importance of image and uniform, fitness and nutrition, leadership, security procedures and medical training that has been accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

The facilities provided are second to none. For safety and emergency training, state-of-the-art full motion simulators of all the aircraft types in the Emirates fleet are used. These are equipped with smoke simulators, visual and audio displays that provide trainees with the most realistic simulations of every possible emergency scenario from decompression to emergency evacuation on land and water.

Cabin crew service training ranges from full silver service for fine dining to mixing the perfect cocktail and takes place in 14 scale replicas of the different Emirates cabins. These include a 32-metre upper deck section of Emirates’ Airbus A380 that is believed to be the largest in the world.

Specialty training rooms are provided including one for providing full information on the wide range of duty free products. An Arabic majlis provides a perfect setting for their introduction to Arab culture and customs

Cash Elements

The following benefits are applicable to all Staff:
• Competitive Tax Free Basic Salary
Your fixed monthly cash payment related to your position and based on the knowledge and competencies you bring to the role. Salaries are benchmarked for all employees against relevant Industries and are reviewed on a regular basis to ensure they remain competitive.

• Company Provided Accommodation/Accommodation Allowance
• Company Provided Transport/Transport Allowance

The eligibility of the following benefits is dependant upon the role and/or applicant’s unique personal circumstances:
• Profit Share Scheme
The Company operates a profit share scheme based upon the profit results of the Company for the financial year. A qualifying period is applicable.
• Exchange Rate Protection Scheme
50% of Basic Salary is protected against adverse exchange rate fluctuations between the UAE Dirham and your currency classification. This is not applicable to currency classifications that are pegged against the USD.
• Professional Specialist Allowances
For certain roles there are additional allowances payable in order to recognise the specialism of the role undertaken.

Non Cash Elements

The following benefits are applicable to all Staff:
• Annual Leave
Minimum of 30 calendar days in addition to 10 public holidays. Leave increases above 30 calendar days in steps dependant on the seniority of the position.
• End of Service Gratuity
In accordance with UAE Labour Law, on leaving the company you will be provided with an end of service (gratuity) payment calculated as 21 days basic salary per annum for the first 5 years of service and then 30 days basic salary per annum for each year of service beyond 5 years of service.

The eligibility of the following benefits is dependant upon the role and/or applicant’s unique personal circumstances:
• Leave Tickets
Free annual leave tickets are provided to approved leave destinations for the employee and their eligible dependants subject to Company policy.
• Education Support Allowance
Financial support towards the payment of core tuition fees is provided to staff in more senior positions. It is intended as a contribution towards the overall expenses the employee may incur for their children’s education.
• Personal Life and Accident Insurance/ Workmen’s Compensation Insurance
• Medical and Dental Provision/Government Health Card
• Government Pension Scheme
Eligible UAE National and GCC citizens are enrolled into their respective Government Pension Scheme, employees and Company contributions are payable.
• Provident Fund
On leaving the Company an employee is entitled to an End of Service Gratuity or Provident Scheme payment, whichever is higher. The Provident Scheme is a long-term savings arrangement provided to more senior positions and is designed to help plan for retirement. The company contributes 12% of basic salary. You are required to contribute 5% of your basic salary.

Additional Information

• Concessional Travel
A range of ticket options are available for staff and their eligible dependants on Emirates Airline’s routes which now encompasses over 100 destinations. Some elements of concessionary travel are available immediately upon joining, but eligibility for others is subject to completion of a probationary period.
• Emirates Card
By virtue of being an Emirates Group employee you can avail of attractive discounts at over 100 dining, retail, hotel and leisure outlets in Dubai and the UAE. You can also upgrade to the Emirates Platinum Card and avail over 300 additional discounts and benefits and club memberships.

The Recruitment Process

STEP 1: APPLYING ONLINE

STEP 2: SELECTION PROCESS
If you receive a favourable response this means that you may be short-listed for the position and will need to attend a selection programme in Dubai.

Following the selection/assessment process the line manager and recruitment staff will need to discuss and identify the most suitable candidate for the role and who is able to adapt to the Emirates culture and working in Dubai.

Step 3: POST SELECTION PROCESS
If you are successful after interview or assessment centre you will receive an email, phone call or letter from the recruitment staff advising you of the outcome. There are various pre-joining clearances at this stage that need to be completed.

If you are unsuccessful after interview or assessment centre, you will receive a computer generated letter advising you of the outcome. Please note that you can apply online for other positions you might find yourself suitable for.

Step 4: JOINING FORMALITIES
Once the necessary approvals have been attained the successful candidate will be contacted by the Human Resources Employee Services (HRES). The HRES is responsible for the entire joining process and will make the necessary arrangements to deliver the employment contract and relevant documentation.
